"Social Justice League" - championing feelings of safety value and connectedness

The Social Justice League is a three-pronged initiative focusing on creating an inclusive environment and fostering citizens with the feelings of: safety, value and connectedness. 

Philippians 4:12: "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." As our students try to embrace the teachings of God  they learn that food safety and security is an important part of building a sustainable community. For the 5th year in a row St. Michael School will be participating in the Calgary Food Bank "Can-struction" Challenge. This challenge uses engineering, art, creativity, innovation and ingenuity to create a 3-D structures entirely made from cans that will then be donated to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.
