"Social Justice League" - championing feelings of safety value and connectedness
The Social Justice League is a three-pronged initiative focusing on creating an inclusive environment and fostering citizens with the feelings of: safety, value and connectedness.
Philippians 4:12: "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." As our students try to embrace the teachings of God they learn that food safety and security is an important part of building a sustainable community. For the 5th year in a row St. Michael School will be participating in the Calgary Food Bank "Can-struction" Challenge. This challenge uses engineering, art, creativity, innovation and ingenuity to create a 3-D structures entirely made from cans that will then be donated to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.
